At Ballam Furniture Gallery, we aim to make delivery simple, transparent, and reliable—from small décor items to full-sized furniture pieces. Please review our shipping policy below for details on methods, timelines, costs, and freight delivery procedures.


Shipping Methods

We ship across Canada using trusted carriers for small and medium-sized items:

  • Canada Post

  • Purolator

  • UPS

For larger furniture pieces and oversized items, shipping is coordinated through freight carriers such as:

  • TransSource

  • DHL

  • Additional freight partners as needed to ensure safe delivery

In-store pickup and local delivery may also be available depending on the product and location.


Delivery Times

Processing Time:
Orders typically process within 1–3 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been shipped or is ready for pickup.

Estimated Shipping Times:

  • Standard Shipping: 3–10 business days

  • Expedited Shipping: 2–5 business days (when available)

  • Freight Delivery: Scheduled delivery windows are coordinated directly with you once the shipment reaches your local terminal

Delivery times may vary based on destination, carrier delays, weather conditions, and peak holiday periods.


Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on product size, weight, destination, and carrier rates.

  • Small & Medium Items: Shipping rates are calculated at checkout using Canada Post, Purolator, or UPS.

  • Large Furniture Items: Due to the size and weight of many of our products, freight shipping costs will be quoted separately. A member of our team will contact you with a shipping quote using carriers such as TransSource or DHL before processing your order.

  • Local Delivery: Local delivery options and fees may vary. Please contact us for details.

Geographic Coverage

We currently ship within Canada.
Certain remote or hard-to-reach locations may require additional fees or limited delivery options. Freight carriers may be unable to deliver to some areas—our team will notify you if this applies.


Order Tracking

Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number via email from Canada Post, Purolator, UPS, or your assigned freight carrier.
For freight shipments, tracking may include terminal updates, scheduled delivery calls, and delivery window confirmations.


In-Store Pickup

If in-store pickup is available for your order, you will be notified at checkout.
Pickup details:

  • You will receive an email when your order is ready

  • Pickup is available during regular store hours

  • Please bring your confirmation email and ID when collecting your order


Freight Delivery for Large Items

Larger furniture and oversized products are delivered by freight carriers for safety and efficiency.
Freight delivery includes:

  • Scheduled delivery appointment

  • Curbside or threshold delivery (unless upgraded services are available)

  • Additional fees may apply for stairs, remote locations, or special access requirements

Please inspect your shipment at time of delivery. If damage is visible, note it with the driver and contact us right away.


Lost, Missing, or Damaged Shipments

If your order arrives damaged or does not arrive as expected:

  1. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

  2. Provide your order number and photos of the packaging and product (if applicable).

  3. We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

For lost packages, we will initiate an investigation with the carrier and keep you updated throughout the process.


Delivery Restrictions

  • Some carriers cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes.

  • Certain large items cannot be shipped to remote regions.

  • Weather and other conditions may cause delays beyond our control.

We will notify you if your order is affected by restrictions or carrier limitations.
